Scandi style embraces softness, nature and cosy yet functional living, which is why it’s no surprise that it’s stood the test of time. It is also one of our favourite styles for the hotter months; its airiness makes it a great option for sunny days spent lounging. Today, we will be breaking down how you can recreate the Scandi style in your home this spring/summer season. Cream leathers Embrace calming, milky tones in your home with cream leather upholstery. Our leathers have a beautiful grain with a delicate texture, which is a gorgeous addition to a Scandi-inspired home. Cream is a perfect colour for this look, as it provides a timeless, minimalist look that is the key to unlocking a soothing Scandi environment. Our favourite G Plan leathers for this look are: Cambridge Putty Capri Stone Cambridge Chalk Soft curves Embrace flowing furniture by incorporating pieces with soft curves. Relaxing on the eye, furniture that features soft curves is a common feature of Scandi design, shapes that flow allow a space to feel instantly calm. Perfect for relaxed evenings and slow mornings. At G Plan, we have some pieces that would be perfect for this look. Monza Monza’s laid-back proportions and high back offer a luxury lounging experience. Deeply padded arms and plump cocooning cushions create indulgent comfort whilst tailored lines and a finely contoured shape provide cool sophistication. Seattle Seattle offers contemporary elegance to any living space. With crisp tailoring and gently curved arm details. Full and beautifully sumptuous cushions deliver a deep and comfortable sit that you won’t want to get out of. Cabinet A key part of Scandinavian styling is the idea of bringing the outside in. A beautiful way to incorporate this concept into your own home is to use wooden elements. Cabinets are not only functional, but the right pieces can be visually showstopping elements of a room. Traditionally, Scandinavian style usually favours lighter wood, but over the past few years, the trend has started to shift. Ultimately, it’s down to personal preference. Here are some of our favourite Cabinet Collections for this look: Maddison Dining Maddison Dining exudes refined, crafted details with a welcoming soft profile silhouette balanced with scallop channels celebrating the natural woodgrain. Soft, warm oak tones bring a sense of comfort and inviting ambience, creating a cosy atmosphere in any home. Despite the collection’s name, it features multiple pieces that would be perfect for a lounge space, including a delicate lamp table and a grand display cabinet, excellent for storing trinkets, books and ornaments. Marlow Dining Take a step back in time with this retro-inspired furniture collection. Inspired by vintage furniture designs of days gone by, the Marlow Dining range is classic and stylish; however, you choose to style this special furniture range, it’s bound to fill your home with chic joy. With an exquisite dark wood grain, this collection is naturally warming. Why not opt for a Marlow coffee table to pop drinks upon? Or a Wide sideboard for a stylish storage option? Plants Galore Because of the Scandi design philosophy of peace and nature, we believe that any room that aims to take inspiration from the style should feature plants. Plants help to purify the air in each room they are in, which is extremely important for quality time relaxing. Aside from this, they also look stunning! Big Ken from Patch features large sweeping leaves and a refreshing tropical look. For a smaller plant that would look great set upon one of our cabinet pieces, we love Patch’s Susie Snake Plant.
