Get the Look with Amelia

Ever wondered how we got this Amelia look? Wonder no more, in this blog we will break down exactly how we styled this look and how you can recreate it in your own home.

If you love retro designs and serious comfort seeking, Amelia might just be your dream sofa. With button back detailing, oversized cushions and a sleek, low frame, Amelia is the ticket to unlocking a truly gorgeous, midcentury-inspired home. Opt for our Amelia in our soft and luxurious Plush Mallard Fabric for a bold and bright vintage look. Add 2 of our Wiggle Teal Scatters for some added soft comfort, and the Fabric’s pattern adds an extra pinch of fun.

Going Lohko Wallpaper - Sky / Auburn - by Scion

When looking at the walls, we wanted to style with bright, contemporary looks in mind. So, the accent went with this wallpaper from Wallpaper Direct. Featuring an all-over rectangular geometric design with an overlaid shadow of the same pattern to create a stunning retro design, we love the final result. We also added some fun prints to add some more style and personality to the space. Because the wallpaper is fairly busy, contrasting this with minimalist prints adds a really gorgeous contrast.

Floors are often a neglected part of styling, more of an afterthought than a main event. For this space, we wanted the rug to be extra special, and it ended up tying the whole look together. With a classic mandala design and colours that tie the room’s shades together, we love this rug from Amazon. And as a bonus, it’s also very affordable.

Antique Brass Hour Glass Round Side Table

In our opinion, every Sofa needs a conveniently placed table next to it; otherwise, where will you set down your cuppa on those lazy Sunday mornings spent on the sofa? Sticking with the Vintage theme, this hourglass side table is sure to make a statement. With a brushed brass finish and a unique shape, it perfectly slots into this gorgeous space. For some extra light and a bright pop of colour, opt for a floor lamp such as this one from Louis Poulsen. An iconic retro silhouette that was created by the Danish architect and designer Arn Jacobsen back in 1957.

Now, for finishing touches, it’s time to accessorise. For this look, we opted to add a midcentury-style clock from Jones Clocks. Rounded corners and an Arabic-style dial add a pinch of sophistication, whilst the bright outer colour of the clock packs a bold punch. We also added this ceramic ornament from Casabella Furniture. The Esad Deco is a distinctive interior accent in a subtle natural hue, offering a refined touch to any space.

So, there you have it. That’s how you can recreate our Amelia look in your home!
