Sweet Embrace – Dulux Colour of the Year 2024

We can’t believe it, but 2024 is just over a month away! But don’t panic, there’s still plenty of 2023 left to sink your teeth into. However, paint company Dulux has already announced its Colour of the Year 2024 as Sweet Embrace; a soft blush pink that will envelope you in its gentle tone.

In light of this, we have put together some styling tips, inspired by this light and airy pink colour. With the start of a New Year comes the want to refresh and replenish our homes; there’s no better place to start than with the beautiful pastel pink of Sweet Embrace.

Pairing Sweet Embrace with Furniture Fabrics

First and foremost, we need to start with furniture upholstery; we’d be going against all our values if we didn’t! 2023 saw the rise of hot pinks (thank you Barbiecore), however 2024 is bringing with it more muted, warming tones, much similar to Sweet Embrace.

Our Notting Hill Rose is a gorgeous dusty pink fabric that’ll blend perfectly with Sweet Embrace. Soft to touch and cosy to curl into, this velvet-style fabric will be a comforting welcome to any living space. Available on G Plan models including Stratford, Belsay and Radford, Notting Hill Rose is a gracefully delicate tone that matches perfectly with a Hexa Dusk footstool.

When it comes to G Plan leathers, creamy colours will partner perfectly with Sweet Embrace. We would pick leathers such as Cambridge Chalk, Genesis Plum and Capri Putty. These soft earthy colours will create a wholesome atmosphere, perfect to relax and unwind in. Any can be paired perfectly with a collection of Topiary Frost scatter cushions.

Blush Pink Soft Furnishings

If you’re not entirely committed to changing an entire room colour to Sweet Embrace, why not scatter soft furnishings around living spaces instead? This can be achieved via cosy blankets and comforters, inviting bedsheets, dish towels and table linen.

This light pink wool-blend blanket from H&M would be the perfect way to add highlights of Sweet Embrace into your home. Unmistakably luring and incredibly snug, this blanket will elevate your comfort to no end.

When it comes to wining and dining, the Light Purple Victorine Linen Tablecloth from Laredoute will absolutely hit that Sweet Embrace spot. The Spice Set the Table 20-piece tableware set from From Our Place will accompany this table linen perfectly, creating a soft pink decorative scheme.

Sweet Embrace-inspired Decorations

If you’re looking to fully encapsulate your home in a Sweet Embrace, you can also add hints of blush pink throughout your home, by using ornaments and trinkets. Refresh your bookshelves and displays within your living spaces with this wonderfully welcoming colour – Sweet Embrace truly reflects the phrase ‘There’s no place like home’. This colour scheme can be accomplished through beautiful blush pink vases, subtly hued candle stick holders and delicately patterned rugs.
