2020 Autumn Trends with G Plan

Change is in the air, as we transition out of summer and into the crisper Autumn months. We’ve selected our favourite interior trends for the season, as the days draw in and we turn our homes into cosy retreats.

Classic Country

This reoccurring trend is one that is ever popular at this time of year. It is something that immediately transports us to a cosy spot in the country, next to a roaring log burner. Warm tones are balanced with earthy textures to offer a tranquil, elegant space. Sage greens and mocha shades help to bring the countryside into our homes, brought together by subtle leafy or woodland style patterns. Weave in soft furnishings such as knitted throws, wicker baskets and upholstered footstools, to create an inviting space to curl up in. Explore fabric and leather sofas in our Malvern range to suit this timeless style.

Autumn Luxe

This dramatic trend brings a rich and luxurious feel to your living space, using darker colours and heavier fabrics to create a sense of opulence. Deep colour tones such as burgundy and midnight blue with velvet textures, can be used on statement furniture pieces such as sofas or armchairs, with accents of burnt orange or mustard yellow for cushions and accessories.  Combine with mirrored or metallic details to complete this decadent look. Our Vintage collection beautifully complements this trend and has a variety of chaise sofas, such as The Sixty Five.

Modern Rustic

A subtle blend of raw, natural textures, combined with warm colour palettes to create a chic haven with this trend. Light wood tones in mid-century modern style furniture, with an open plan layout creates a sense of space and calm. Stone textures for lamp bases or vases can be softened with dried flower arrangements, alongside woven rugs and baskets. Whilst colour palettes tend to remain relatively neutral for walls, inject colour into fabric choices for your sofas or cushions, with tones such as chocolate browns, copper and ochre. Clusters of candles, tealights and your favourite scented diffusers can accentuate the feeling of warmth and serenity. Our ergonomic chairs, such as Lukas and Belsay , are ideal for this trend, offering beautiful wooden veneer detailing, alongside contemporary design details, such a footrest for unquestionable comfort.
