Interiors Inspiration: Blush Pink
Blush pink is proving one of the most popular colours in interiors this year, and we simply can’t get enough. Emerging in fashion and then quickly translating into the world of interior design, blush tones offer a more grown up take on pink for a sophisticated look.
For the ultimate in feminine style, team the Tess sofa with fresh white décor and furniture. This colour scheme is perfect if you want to create a relaxing, but minimalistic space. White walls and flooring will keep the look fresh, but be sure to incorporate natural materials like wood to bring warmth. One of our favourite picks is this Oak and White Nest of Tables from Debenhams, simple and stylish and extremely practical for smaller spaces.
Make sure you include lots of soft textures to keep things cosy – a faux fur rug, textured lampshade and chunky bean bag help to add depth to this neutral room. Incorporate different tones and textures by layering up cushions and blankets for a homely space the whole family will want to snuggle up in.
One of our favourite looks this year is the pairing of feminine blush pinks with more masculine grey shades. Pastel colours look great with every shade of grey, from soft dove right through to deep charcoal. We love this Chunky Basket Weave Throw in grey, available from John Lewis which would look stylish thrown over the arm of your sofa, and handy for warming you up on those colder evenings.
We love this colour scheme because it’s highly versatile; dusty pink looks amazing all-over to make a real style statement but also works well as an accent colour. If you love pink but are unsure about transforming your entire room, bring blush tones in subtly with some sumptuous G Plan scatter cushions.
To complete the look and give your space a slightly industrial feel, opt for metallic accessories. Copper is really popular in interiors at the moment and is the perfect pairing alongside blush pink. This floor standing Copper Lamp from The Lighting Company certainly looks the part and will bring a warm glow to your living space.
However you use blush pink in your home, it’s sure to bring a stylish and sophisticated edge to your interior. For more information on the Tess sofa and our new range of soft and sensuous Fabrics and Leathers, please visit the G Plan website.
