A great opportunity has arisen to join an iconic British brand and a dynamic team with big plans!

We are looking for a Production Planner to join our G Plan Operations team at this exciting time.

We’ve been around since 1953, so we know a lot about making the perfect sofa – but we certainly don’t just sit back and rest on our laurels. We strive to improve at every opportunity, driving the business forward and evolving the brand. We are guardians of our heritage but embrace the very latest in technology and innovation.

As a key member of our Operations function, you will work alongside your customer service and distribution colleagues in our purpose-built Wiltshire head office and manufacturing facility. The heart of the organisation, this is where we proudly hand-make every single G Plan sofa and chair. A G Plan sofa is an investment piece and our consumers know they are buying a sofa designed with the values of enduring comfort and quality at its core.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for creating and managing the weekly production plans in line with the planning requirements and restrictions of the business. This includes managing capacities to ensure orders are planned in the correct production buckets, liaising with other business functions to ensure orders are confirmed to customers with correct dates and that changes, delays and issues are communicated accurately and effectively to keep production on target and customers informed.

The Production Planner will also work closely with our Lithuania factory to ensure fabric supply and demand meets the customers’ needs whilst maintaining minimal stock value levels.

Highly skilled with Excel and with experience of producing production plans using an enterprise level ERP system, the Production Planner will have a high attention to detail. In particular to ensure data accuracy and be able to quickly produce information / reports to the operations management team detailing various aspects of the plan.

A diligent approach is necessary to conduct daily sweeps to confirm production plans are correct and complete and that requirement and materials supply dates are accurately maintained

In return we offer a competitive salary and a range of benefits including 24 days annual leave plus public holidays, company sick pay scheme, company pension scheme and life assurance, cycle to work scheme and staff purchase scheme.
