How to search for your perfect sofa on this site
A good place to start is with our two Collections. Search within a collection, such as ethos, or use the quick finder to look for a particular sofa type or range.
Once you have found a range you like, and you have checked the specifications, you can start customising it.
How to customise a G Plan sofa
If you'd like to see how your chosen sofa will look in a range of fabrics and leathers, our customising tool can help. This tool allows you to choose a specific design, choose a fabric or leather and then see a full colour preview of your sofa.
Step one: Choose your style using the drop down menu. You can search by collection, such as G Plan, or if you already know the name of your sofa you can search by range.
Step two: Choose your cover. Just click on the tabs to find the colours and fabrics available, then double click on the one you like. You'll see a preview of your sofa in seconds.
Step three: Once you have viewed your sofa, there are several things you can do. You can send it to a friend by using the box at the bottom of the page. You can find a showroom that stocks your sofa by typing in your postcode into the "Find a showroom near you" panel. Or you can add your selection to your My G Plan page, which is a page where you can store your favourite sofas and covers for future reference.
How to check your sofa specifications
When you have chosen a sofa range, it's wise to check the specifications and measurements. You'll find a table listing all the specifications underneath your selected sofa.
We recommend you check the specifications to ensure your sofa offers maximum comfort and sits perfectly in your home. Remember to measure door frames to ensure your sofa can fit in to your room.
You can also print off your sofa's specifications to take in to your nearest retailer.
How to find a showroom
Once you have previewed your sofa in a style and colour you are happy with, you can find a showroom near you. Visiting a G Plan stockist enables you to take the G Plan "sit test" and try it out for size.
You can find your local retailer by typing in your postcode. If you'd like to see a particular sofa you can also use the drop down menu to choose a range. We'll then show you the nearest showrooms, and the nearest showrooms stocking the range you're looking for.
To find out if an exact sofa is in stock, simply click on your nearest retailer and then click "Sofas and chairs on display in this showroom". However, it's important to check with the retailer before you travel that they still have the sofa you're looking for in stock.
How to find the cover you're looking for
You can view swatches on the site. Simply visit the Fabrics and leathers page or the Customise my Sofa page to see our choice of upholstery.
Select the leather or fabric tab then click on the relevant tabs to view fabrics by pattern, colour and type.
You can save your favourite swatches in My G Plan for future reference. You can also send for up to 3 swatches, or view the swatch book at your G Plan local stockist.
If you'd like to see a specific sofa in a particular fabric, please contact us and we'll find out if any of our stockists have one available to view.
How to request a brochure
To request a brochure, please visit our request a brochure page. There are three G Plan brochures available to view online: G Plan Collections, the ethos collection and our craftsmanship brochure.
We have hard copies of both the G Plan and ethos brochures. To request yours, simply complete your details here, and we'll then put your brochures in the post for you.
How to register a purchased sofa
To register your sofa and validate your 10 year guarantee, visit our Register my sofa page.
You can complete your details and, if you wish, you can provide feedback on the service you received. You'll then be able to save or print a record of the registration for your records.
